Vietnam Initiates Mid-Term Review Investigation into Antidumping Duties on Prestressed Steel Strands from China.

On January 21, 2026, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade issued No. 150/QD-BCT, stating that, at the request of Chinese producers, it had initiated a mid-term review investigation into anti-dumping duties on prestressed steel strand (Vietnamese: sản phẩm cáp thép dự ứng lực được) originating from Malaysia, Thailand and China. This case involves products under Vietnamese tariff codes 7312.10.91 and 7312.10.99.

Interested parties should register to participate in the investigation by April 22, 2026.

On July 5, 2023, Vietnam initiated an anti-dumping investigation into prestressed steel strands originating from Malaysia, Thailand, and China. On January 14, 2025, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Announcement No. 143/QD-BCT, making an affirmative final determination on antidumping of the products involved in the case from the aforementioned three countries, and deciding to impose antidumping duties. Among them, the duty rate for the products involved from China is 10.48% to 28%.
