On April 14, the core structure of China’s first smart, flexible production line capable of simultaneously manufacturing both the thinnest and thickest low-carbon high-end stainless steel products was officially completed. Constructed by China MCC17 Group Co., LTD.,the line can produce low-carbon high-end stainless steel products ranging in thickness from 1.85 millimeters to 100 millimeters, covering the world’s thinnest to thickest specifications.

The production line's heating furnace innovatively integrates all-oxygen combustion technology, making it the first hot rolling line in China to apply this technology. Compared to traditional heating furnaces, it significantly saves fuel and completely eliminates denitrification equipment, achieving ultra-low emissions. Simultaneously, relying on distributed photovoltaic green electricity and plant-wide waste heat recovery, it promotes the transformation of the stainless steel industry towards cleaner production. After the project is put into operation, it will produce 2.5125 million tons of high-end stainless steel annually, saving 68,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 180,000 tons annually.

During construction, the project team extensively applied technologies such as BIM 3D modeling and robotic welding, establishing a three-tiered quality control mechanism and a three-in-one supervision system of "mobile cameras + on-site safety personnel + drone inspections." For eight consecutive months, the monthly steel structure installation volume exceeded 10,000 tons, breaking the record for single-project installation in the metallurgical industry; the 168-meter-long high-rise frame was capped after 160 days. On March 30th, the main structure of the first AOD furnace was installed, laying a solid foundation for on-time delivery.

The project has been featured in reports by CCTV's "News Broadcast" and other programs, providing a model for the high-end, green, and intelligent upgrading of my country's stainless steel industry.
