Hot Rolled Patterned Coil

Patterned steel plate, also known as patterned steel plate or mesh steel plate, refers to a hot-rolled steel plate or steel with raised patterns such as diamond, lentil, round bean or a combination of patterns on the surface. Due to its unique anti-slip properties and good processability, it has been widely used in construction, transportation, machinery, and other fields.

Patterned steel coils come in two product forms: Patterned steel sheet: a single sheet of steel cut to a fixed length.
Patterned steel strip (patterned coil): Steel strip delivered in coils, convenient for transportation and subsequent continuous processing.

Patterned steel coils are delivered in hot-rolled condition, with the surface patterns primarily serving anti-slip and decorative purposes. The combined patterned steel sheet has significantly better overall performance than the single patterned steel sheet in terms of anti-slip ability, bending resistance, metal saving, and appearance.

1. Classification by Pattern Shape

2. Classification by Surface Finish
Pattern steel coils are classified into two grades according to surface quality: Ordinary Finish: The steel plate surface is allowed to have a thin layer of iron oxide scale, rust, surface roughness caused by the peeling off of iron oxide scale, and other local defects whose height or depth does not exceed the allowable deviation. Inconspicuous burrs and individual marks whose height does not exceed the height of the pattern are allowed.

High precision: Thin layers of iron oxide scale, rust, and other local defects with a height or depth not exceeding half the thickness tolerance are allowed on the steel plate surface. The pattern is intact and undamaged, and minor burrs with a height not exceeding half the thickness tolerance are allowed on the pattern.

Core Performance Characteristics
1. Anti-slip performance: The surface of the patterned steel plate roll has raised diamond or ridge patterns, which have excellent anti-slip properties. This is its most core functional characteristic.
2. Strength: Standard checkered plate coils meet Q235 or Q355 grade requirements. In recent years, high-strength patterned coils have achieved a strength of 600MPa and have been successfully developed into ultra-thin 1.8mm products.
3. Processing performance: Patterned steel coils are delivered in hot-rolled condition and have good processing performance such as cold bending, shearing, and welding.
4. Surface Quality Requirements: The surface of the patterned steel plate must be free from blisters, scabs, tears, folds, inclusions, and delamination.
5. Durability: The patterned coils are made of hot-rolled steel, ensuring high strength and durability, making them suitable for heavy-duty applications.
6. Corrosion resistance: Depending on the type of steel used and the surface treatment process, patterned coils can have good corrosion resistance and weather resistance.

7. Decorative Appeal: The patterned surface adds an attractive visual element, making it suitable for architectural and interior design applications.

Applications:

Hot Rolled Patterned Coils find applications in various industries, including:
Industrial flooring and platforms;Shipbuilding and marine applications;Construction and architectural elements;Transportation (vehicle floors and ramps);Structural componentsManufacturing and machinery equipment.
It's important to note that the specific pattern types, sizes, and grades of Hot Rolled Patterned Coils may vary based on regional preferences, manufacturer capabilities, and customer requirements. As with any steel product, compliance with relevant industry standards and specifications is essential to ensure quality, performance, and safety in the intended applications.

Patterned steel coils are hot-rolled steel plates or strips with raised patterns in the shape of diamonds, lentils, round beans, or combinations thereof on their surface, with anti-slip as their core functional feature. The most common grade is Q235B, but there are also Q355 and 600MPa high-strength products. Patterned steel sheets are widely used in places requiring anti-slip properties, such as building stair treads, ship decks, automobile floorboards, and machinery platforms, and are continuously developing towards high strength, ultra-thinness, and combined patterns.
