Hebei Xinhua Metallurgical Holding Group was registered in Beijing in December 2000. In December 2013, the group headquarters moved from Beijing to Cangzhou Bohai New Area. The group currently has over 20,000 full-time employees and covers a total area of over 15 million square meters. 

After more than 20 years of unremitting efforts, it has developed into a large-scale private steel enterprise group integrating sintering, ironmaking, steelmaking, hot rolling, cold rolling, galvanizing, coal chemical industry, natural gas, seawater desalination, waste heat, waste gas, and waste pressure power generation, comprehensive sewage treatment, port and shipping. It has an integrated steel and coke production capacity of over 20 million tons per year. The group has invested over 80 billion yuan in fixed assets in the real economy. It is one of China's top 500 enterprises, a member of the China Iron and Steel Association, a vice-chairman unit of the All-China Federation of Metallurgical Chambers of Commerce, and a vice-chairman unit of the Hebei Provincial Metallurgical Industry Association.

The group mainly consists of several subsidiaries, including Cangzhou CRRC Equipment Manufacturing Materials Co., Ltd., Hebei Zongheng Group Fengnan Steel Co., Ltd., Hebei Zhongzhong Cold Rolled Materials Co., Ltd., Hebei Zhongxiang Energy Co., Ltd., and Hebei Fuyue Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. The two main enterprises are Cangzhou CRRC Equipment Co., Ltd. and Zongheng Fengnan Steel Co., Ltd., which are located in the two major ports of Huanghua Port and Fengnan Port in the Bohai Bay, respectively. They occupy a key position in the Bohai Bay and are located in the center of the Bohai Rim and the Beijing-Tianjin Rim economic circles. They are a coastal economic growth pole that Hebei Province is building with all its strength. The excellent geographical location has laid a solid foundation for the group to take advantage of domestic and foreign resources and sell its products to go global.
