HBIS Tangsteel （Hebei Iron & Steel Group Tangshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. ）recently delivered 7,590 tons of thick-gauge X60M pipeline steel to a renowned pipeline manufacturer in the industry. This steel will be used in major water supply projects along BRI route. The batch of steel will be processed into high-pressure, large-diameter long-distance pipelines to support local infrastructure development.

Tangsteel's pipeline steel of this grade features high strength, superior corrosion resistance, excellent toughness, and outstanding weldability. It can withstand complex loads and harsh environments, making it particularly suitable for long-distance pipeline construction. Addressing the project's unique conditions—including desert, mountainous, and volcanic rock terrains—Tangsteel's integrated R&D, production, and sales team closely aligned with customer requirements. They provided end-to-end services from needs assessment to post-sales support, earning client recognition through customized solutions.

During production, Tangsteel achieved precipitation hardening by precisely designing the chemical composition system and adding special alloys. Throughout the process, meticulous operations and controlled rolling and cooling techniques were employed, combined with low-temperature rapid rolling technology. This effectively regulated rolling temperatures and cooling rates, ensuring the product excelled in key metrics such as low-temperature impact toughness at -20°C and low yield-to-tensile strength ratio. The final product achieved a 100% pass rate, with all performance characteristics meeting the requirements for high-end applications.

This supply further demonstrates Tangsteel's R&D capabilities and market competitiveness in the high-end pipeline steel sector, providing robust support for China's steel industry participation in major international projects.
