On May 24, with the switching of the flue valve, the flue gas entered the desulfurization system, and the ultra-low emission technical transformation project of KISC Company's rolling mill heating furnace flue gas officially entered the trial production stage and was successfully put into production on the entire line. This is another "high-scoring answer sheet" submitted by Tianlang Environmental Protection Company with high standards and high levels after the successful commissioning of KISC Company's blast furnace hot blast furnace, boiler ultra-low emission, and other projects. It further helps Kunming Iron and Steel to brighten its ecological background and achieve comprehensive ultra-low emissions from organized discharge outlets, setting a new benchmark for ultra-low emissions in the steel industry in Yunnan Province and drawing a "green blueprint" of blue sky and clean air.
KISC Company has a total of 6 steel rolling production lines, none of which were equipped with flue gas treatment facilities before. In accordance with the ultra-low emission requirements of the steel industry in China and Yunnan Province, in order to take the lead in building an ultra-low emission steel demonstration production base in Yunnan Province, KISC Company attached great importance to and carefully organized and planned to implement the flue gas desulfurization ultra-low emission technical transformation project for the 6 steel rolling production lines.
The project was built in the BOO mode, which is a professional model integrating "investment, design, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance". The first pile of the project was laid on December 23, 2023. After more than 150 days of careful organization, several key processes such as pile foundation construction, civil construction, steel structure installation, equipment commissioning, power transmission, blind plate extraction, and hot test were completed. The ultra-low emission technical transformation projects of each production line were put into production in May this year. The treated flue gas meets the requirements of the national "Opinions on Promoting the Implementation of Ultra-Low Emissions in the Steel Industry", and the annual SO2 emission reduction of the six production lines is about 400 tons.
The successful commissioning of the ultra-low emission technical transformation project not only provided useful practices for strengthening industrial flue gas treatment and improving desulfurization operation services but also formed a good demonstration effect for KISC Company's organized ultra-low emission transformation work.
