Recently, Ansteel Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the Yichang Dongyan Road Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge project, and will supply high-performance Q500qE bridge steel for this key national project, marking an important breakthrough for Ansteel's high-end bridge steel in the Central China market.

The Yichang Dongyan Road Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge is a key control project of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway corridor along the Yangtze River. With a main span of 800 meters, it is the world's first cable-stayed bridge with a "railway on top, road track below" layout, combining railway, road, and rail rails. As the bridge crosses the core area of the Yangtze River Chinese Sturgeon Nature Reserve, extremely stringent requirements were placed on the construction materials in terms of strength, toughness, weather resistance, and environmental adaptability.

The Q500qE bridge steel that Ansteel won the bid for is one of the highest strength bridge steels in China, possessing the "three highs" characteristics of high strength, high toughness, and high crack arrest. The application of this steel can significantly reduce the thickness of steel plates used, reducing weight by about 50% compared to traditional materials, effectively reducing the amount of steel used in the project and the overall self-weight of the bridge. At the same time, its excellent crack arrest performance provides an important guarantee for the long-term structural safety of the bridge.
