  • What are the corrosion protection methods for spiral steel pipes?

Painting: This is a common corrosion protection method. Various anti-corrosion paints, such as epoxy and polyurethane paints, are applied to the surface of the spiral pipe to form a dense film that isolates the pipe surface from air, moisture, and corrosive media, thereby providing corrosion protection. Before painting, the pipe surface must be rigorously treated, including rust removal and cleaning, to ensure paint adhesion and corrosion protection. Generally, primer provides good adhesion and rust protection, while topcoat provides aesthetics and weather resistance.

Galvanizing: The spiral pipe is immersed in molten zinc, allowing the zinc layer to adhere to the pipe surface, forming a galvanized coating. This coating offers excellent corrosion resistance and electrochemical protection, effectively preventing corrosion. Galvanized pipes are available in two types: hot-dip galvanizing and electrogalvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing offers better corrosion protection and a longer service life, but also comes at a relatively high cost. Electrogalvanizing is faster and less expensive, but its corrosion protection is slightly inferior to hot-dip galvanizing.

Epoxy powder coating: Epoxy resin powder is applied to the spiral pipe surface via electrostatic spraying or fluidized bed coating, then cured at high temperature to form a durable epoxy powder coating. Epoxy powder coating offers excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and adhesion, maintaining excellent corrosion protection performance in harsh environments. This corrosion protection method is suitable for various highly corrosive environments, such as the chemical and petroleum industries.

Inner lining: The interior of the spiral pipe is lined with an anti-corrosion material, such as rubber, plastic, or fiberglass, to prevent internal corrosion. This lining offers excellent corrosion resistance and sealing properties, effectively protecting the media within the pipe from contamination.

  • What are the application areas of carbon steel bolts?

Due to their high strength and cost-effectiveness, carbon steel bolts are widely used in building structures, bridges, and large equipment installations.
Mechanical Manufacturing: They are suitable for the assembly and fastening of mechanical equipment, especially in applications requiring high-strength fastening.
Automotive Industry: Carbon steel bolts are widely used in automotive manufacturing, especially those that have undergone corrosion protection treatment, which can meet the strength and corrosion resistance requirements of automotive parts.

  • What is 10-gauge steel plate made of?

    Chemical Composition (GB/T 699-2015)

10# steel is a commonly used carbon structural steel, classified as low-carbon steel. Its "10#" designation originates from national standards and represents a carbon content of approximately 0.10%. This low carbon content gives 10# steel a certain toughness and plasticity, making it suitable for both machining and heat treatment.
10# steel is primarily composed of iron, with a carbon content between 0.08% and 0.12%. It also contains small amounts of silicon, manganese, and other elements. These elements contribute to its excellent workability and strength.

Advantages of 10# Steel Compared to Other Common Steels

    1. Comparison with Q235 Steel
Q235 steel is also a common carbon structural steel, differing primarily in its chemical composition and properties. Q235 steel has a slightly lower carbon content, resulting in slightly greater toughness and weldability, but may be slightly inferior to 10# steel in terms of hardness and wear resistance. Both are suitable for use as structural materials, but 10# steel offers advantages in applications requiring higher mechanical properties.

    2. Differences from Stainless Steel
Stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance, but is also more expensive and difficult to process. In contrast, 10# steel is less expensive and suitable for use in environments where corrosion resistance is less critical.
