30MnSi steel wire (typically supplied as hot-rolled wire rod and serving as the direct base material for PC steel bars) is a medium-carbon silicon-manganese alloy steel that plays a pivotal role as a "raw material" in the prestressed concrete (PC) steel bar supply chain. Through subsequent processes—such as pickling, drawing, indenting, and heat treatment—it is transformed into the high-strength structural framework for prestressed components like concrete pipe piles and railway sleepers.

High-strength PC steel wire is primarily used to manufacture concrete pipe piles for ports, high-rise building foundations, and bridge piers (often referred to as "pipe pile steel wire").
