Yantai City is located in East China, Northeast of Shandong Peninsula，east of Weihai City, west of Weifang City, southwest of Qingdao City, bordering the Bohai Sea in the north, the Yellow Sea, and Liaodong Peninsula, and Dalian City across the sea, Yantai City, the State Council approved the determination of China's Shandong Peninsula's central city, the Bohai Rim, the region's important port city and the National Historical and Cultural City.
