Jiaxing

Jiaxing is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, an urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta, an important city in the Shanghai metropolitan area, a sub-central city in the Hangzhou metropolitan area, cities in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta. It faces the sea in the east, the Qiantang River in Hangzhou Bay in the south, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes through the city, strangling the throat of Taihu South Corridor. Additionaly, it is at the intersection of rivers, lakes and seas.
The existing Jiaxing Port is located on the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta and on the north shore of Hangzhou Bay. It is located in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, which is between Shanghai and Hangzhou. The port is adjacent to Shanghai Jinshan. It is the only gateway for the Hangjiahu Plain, in the north of Zhejiang, to communicate with the overseas sea in Hangzhou Bay. In the steel industry, there are many steel factories forming a complete industrial chain. The representitative products include hot-rolled round steel, cold-rolled flat steel, hot-rolled ribbed steel bars, carbon steel, etc.
