Recently, the Hebei Provincial Society for Metals organized experts to evaluate three scientific and technological achievements completed by Xingtai Steel. The evaluation meeting was chaired by Liu Yi, Secretary-General of the Society, and attended by Xingtai Steel's Chief Engineer and relevant leaders. Experts from the Iron and Steel Research Institute, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Shanghai University, and Suzhou University, among others, assessed that the overall technology of the three achievements—"Research and Industrialization of High-Quality Bearing Steel Wire Rod Products and Core Technologies," "Development and Application of Key Production Technologies for High-Quality Pure Iron for New Energy Vehicles," and "Development and Application of Key Process Technologies for High-Purity, High-Performance Die-Casting Mold Steel"—has reached the international advanced level.

The achievements that passed this evaluation focus on the high-end niche market of special steel wire rod, effectively solving key process challenges in specific application scenarios.

· The project "Research and Industrialization of High-Quality Bearing Steel Wire Rod Products and Core Technologies" significantly improved the cleanliness and internal and external quality of bearing steel by developing technologies for controlling large-size, large-particle calcium aluminate inclusions, carbide control, and surface decarburization prevention in wire rods.

·The project "Development and Application of Key Production Technologies for High-Quality Pure Iron for New Energy Vehicles" developed technologies for controlling coarse grains on the surface of deep-drawing pure iron and for controlling ultra-low coercivity and surface cracks in electromagnetic pure iron. This enabled products to possess excellent drawing, cold-heading, and electromagnetic properties, meeting the requirements of core components for new energy vehicles.

· The project "Development and Application of Key Process Technologies for High-Purity, High-Performance Die-Casting Mold Steel" achieved high purity and uniform, dense microstructure in materials through systematic optimization of composition and processes, effectively improving the overall performance and service life of the products.

The three achievements have resulted in 11 authorized invention patents, 43 related academic papers published, and participation in drafting one national standard and one industry standard. The relevant technologies have been successfully industrialized, bringing significant economic benefits to the company while also strongly supporting the upgrading of its product structure and the technological advancement of downstream industries.
