It marks the first successful ignition of the four-burner igniter blast furnace gas transformation. This achievement completely changed the history of sintering igniters affected by coke oven gas.
The coke market trading situation is sluggish, causing all surrounding coking companies to reduce production capacity to the extreme. The two coke ovens of Tiantie Company are responsible for the gas consumption for surrounding people's livelihood and the production of gas in the factory. It makes the gas balance of Tiantie's coke ovens extremely difficult and cannot be improved quickly. In early February, the production department organized several special meetings on coking coal balance, actively planned the change of ignition methods in the sintering plant, and accelerated the coordination of the installation of four-burner igniter equipment and the laying of blast furnace gas pipelines. The basic conditions for the change of the four-burner igniter have been met, and wait for the planned overhaul of the fourth burning plan shortly to arrange changes.
However, coking maintenance lasted for nearly 12 hours on the 27th. The surrounding coking companies further extended the cooking time. There was a serious shortage of coking coal. The fourth burn failed to ignite multiple times, and normal production was impossible. Facing the severe environmental protection situation, improving sinter inventory, and stabilizing sinter quality are important tasks in the critical period for the recovery of blast furnace conditions. The sintering machine must not stop production due to a lack of gas.
Time waits for no one, and production waits for no one. Under this special situation, the production department made a prompt decision and worked with the safety management department, sintering plant, and power plant to debug and modify the igniter overnight. The safety management department provided on-site supervision. The power plant operation workshop provided on-site guidance to ensure the cutting and modifications, and the elite backbone of the sintering plant organized operations on site. The debugging was completed at 2:53, the first ignition was successful, and the fourth burn was produced successfully at 3:10.
By the end of this year, the hydrogen production project will be completed and put into operation, further increasing the demand for coke oven gas. In the next step, the production department will work with various units to continue to promote the transformation of systems such as first-burner igniters, steel-making bun bakers, and high-coking coal mixed combustion in stone mines and replace coke oven gas with blast furnace gas or converter gas to solve the problem of winter production organization completely. It solves the pain points and difficulties of coke oven gas balance. At the same time, it provides a gas guarantee for hydrogen production projects, allowing coke oven gas to exert greater economic value and create greater benefits for the company.
