Recently, Shan Steel International Trade successfully won an order for 5,400 tons of pressure vessel steel plates to be used in the Shuweihait seawater desalination project in the Arabian Gulf. This is the second time that Shan Steel's pressure vessel steel plate products have entered the Middle East market after the NEOM Future City project in Saudi Arabia.
It is understood that the Shuwei Hait seawater desalination project was developed by Emirates Water and Electricity Company, with a total investment of approximately US$440 million. It will provide domestic water for nearly one million citizens in Abu Dhabi and alleviate the local long-term water shortage problem.
