The World Steel Association recently published its journal “World Steel Statistics 2026”, which includes a ranking of crude steel production and production figures for the world’s leading steel producers in 2025. According to this ranking, China Baowu tops the list with 120 million tonnes, whilst Ansteel, HBIS, Shagang, Jianlong Group and Delong Group feature in the global top ten.

In addition, the journal provides a comprehensive overview of the latest trends in the steel industry through a range of other statistical data, covering major global steel producers and producing countries, steel demand, production processes and trade.

Below is a ranking of global companies from the World Steel Association that made more than 3 million tonnes of crude steel in 2025. This list is updated in early June every year.
