On August 18th, Pangang Group Vanadium Plate Plant announced the successful completion of its first trial production of two rolls of cold-rolled checkered plate on a standard cold-pass mill, with thicknesses of 0.8mm and 1.2mm, respectively. This technological breakthrough provides strong support for Pangang Vanadium to expand its product range of standard cold-rolled products and seize market opportunities.

Checkered plate not only boasts an aesthetically pleasing appearance but also offers excellent anti-slip and wear resistance, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Hot-rolled checkered plate is typically used in industrial environments requiring high strength, such as factory floors, container floors, and machinery treads. Cold-rolled checkered plate, manufactured through a cold rolling process, offers a finer surface texture, higher dimensional accuracy, and improved low-temperature toughness. It is suitable for applications requiring stricter appearance and precision, such as interior decoration and agricultural machinery carriages.

To ensure the success of the first trial production of cold-rolled checkered plate, the plant established a dedicated research team, conducted multiple rounds of discussions focusing on production organization, process control, and technical challenges, and developed a detailed management and control plan. After two weeks of meticulous preparation in the general cold-rolling production unit, the rolling process for two thicknesses of checkered plate was stable and controllable, resulting in a full and uniform bean shape for the finished product. The measured pattern height fully met user requirements, achieving a successful first-pass trial run.

This successful trial production not only demonstrates the plant's ability to quickly respond to market needs and meet diverse user demands, but also completes its strategic dual-line product strategy of "hot-rolled and cold-rolled checkered plate," laying a solid foundation for enhancing the company's market competitiveness and expanding into high-end applications.
