In order to expand the market for foreign trade steel, Yingkou Medium Plate developed and produced 6mm×2440mm NM450 steel plates for the first time in response to the needs of the American sales company. Faced with the difficulties of high strength, thin thickness, and difficult plate shape control of the steel plate, the technical center jointly optimized the rolling, heating, heat treatment and other processes with the production unit, and calibrated and maintained the equipment accuracy and core components of the quenching machine in advance. Finally, 6mm×2440mm ultra-thin high-strength NM450 steel plates were successfully produced. The surface hardness of the steel plate is ≥450HBW, the yield strength is ≥1250MPa, the tensile strength is ≥1500MPa, the impact energy at -20℃ is ≥35J, the first-time plate shape qualification rate exceeds 90%, and various performances are far higher than the national standard requirements, which well solves the problem of coordinated regulation of strength, toughness, wear resistance and high flatness of thin-gauge high-strength wear-resistant steel.

Since developing wear-resistant steel in 2019, Yingkou Plate has been able to supply steel plates with thickness specifications of 6-100mm, and the product grade has been upgraded from NM360 to NM500.
