In the first nine months of this year, China's crude steel output decreased by 2.9 percentage points year-on-year.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics: In September 2025, China's crude steel output reached 73.49 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.6%; pig iron output stood at 66.05 million tons, down 2.4% year-on-year; and steel product output totaled 124.21 million tons, up 5.1% year-on-year.

From January to September, China's crude steel output totaled 746.25 million tons, down 2.9% year-on-year; pig iron output reached 645.86 million tons, down 1.1% year-on-year; and steel product output amounted to 1,103.85 million tons, up 5.4% year-on-year.
