China's steel exports totaled 75.149 million tons from January to August, a year-on-year decrease of 3.0%.
In August, China imported 434,000 tons of steel, down 11,000 tons or 2.47% month-on-month; from January to August, cumulative steel imports totaled 3.574 million tons, down 10.5% year-on-year.
In August, China imported 108.539 million tons of iron ore and its concentrates, an increase of 454,000 tons or 0.42% month-on-month. From January to August, China imported a total of 845.271 million tons of iron ore and its concentrates, up 5.5% year-on-year.
In August, China imported 42.092 million tons of coal and lignite, a decrease of 636,000 tons or 1.49% month-on-month; from January to August, the cumulative imports of coal and lignite reached 310.188 million tons, an increase of 3.4% year-on-year.
