Bensteel Successfully Trial-Produced a New Steel Grade - Acid-Resistant Steel

From March 10 to 13, Bensteel successfully trial-produced a new steel type - acid-resistant steel. The high-strength steel product was successfully rolled at the No. 3 acid rolling unit and the No. 3 continuous annealing unit of Bensteel's Plate Cold Rolling Plant. After testing, the product quality and performance met the technical standards.
Acid-resistant steel is a special steel material rolled with a special alloy composition and process design. Its core advantage is that it forms a dense oxide film or passivation layer, which makes the corrosion resistance of the product more than 10 times higher than that of ordinary carbon steel, thereby extending the service life of industrial equipment and reducing maintenance costs. The products are widely used in power flues, chemical equipment, metallurgical heat exchangers, and other fields.
Bensteel is market-oriented, anchored on the goal of maximizing benefits, intensified scientific and technological innovation, continuously improved core functions, and created high-value-added steel products. During the trial production of acid-resistant steel products, the production and technical personnel of Bensteel Plate Cold Rolling General Plant carefully studied the influence of steel composition on the welding of welding machines and determined reasonable welding parameters through repeated welding tests. At the same time, an in-depth exploration of steel performance testing and rolling mill production status was carried out, and process parameters suitable for the rolling of new steel grades were summarized. The acid rolling unit and the continuous annealing unit were linked up and down to control the production process, and the trial production of new steel grades was successfully completed, with a product qualification rate of 100%.
The successful trial production of acid-resistant steel will enhance the market competitiveness of Bensteel products, expand the market share of Bensteel products, and add a new profit growth point for the enterprise.
