On November 20, at the Ansteel Energy Steel Customer Conference, Ansteel Group unveiled four pioneering products in the energy steel sector, covering multiple critical energy fields including nuclear power, deep-sea oil and gas, and photovoltaic power generation. This launch represents a significant achievement in Ansteel's technological breakthroughs, actively responding to China's national “dual carbon” goals and energy security strategy through research conducted at platforms including national key laboratories and state-level technology centers. Heterogeneous Composite Steel AG728+022Cr17Ni12Mo2 for Nuclear Containment Cooling Auxiliary Water Tanks

After two years of collaborative design efforts, Ansteel successfully developed this product, pioneering its application in third-generation passive pressurized water reactor nuclear power units. Compared to traditional austenitic stainless steel, it achieves significantly enhanced tensile strength while substantially reducing overall costs. Ansteel overcame key technical challenges including billet welding and ultra-wide plate manufacturing, successfully producing composite steel plates with widths up to 3700mm. These plates passed rigorous welding and application performance evaluations.

X65MO Steel for Steel Suspension Chain Risers

Developed by a joint research team at Ansteel, this product utilizes breakthroughs in composition design and microstructure control for thick-walled materials. It delivers steel plates suitable for deep-sea environments for steel suspension chain risers, successfully fabricated into submerged arc welded pipes. During full-pipe fatigue testing, the product withstood over one million cycles under high and medium stresses and over ten million cycles under low stresses without failure. Its performance matches that of comparable products from internationally leading enterprises, filling a global gap in the field of large-diameter, thick-walled, high-strength steel materials for suspension chain risers.

PHS1500A/PHS1500P Ultra-High Strength Corrosion-Resistant Steel for Photovoltaic Mounting Structures

As the world's first rare-earth hot-stamped corrosion-resistant product, this steel grade employs surface pre-oxidation treatment and optimized Cr+rare-earth alloy composition design, achieving tensile strength exceeding 1500 MPa with significantly enhanced atmospheric corrosion resistance. Offering lightweight advantages, it can replace traditional zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated materials. Through process integration, it effectively reduces photovoltaic installation costs, providing critical material support for the lightweight and green development of China's photovoltaic industry.

Steel N06625+X65 for Bimetallic Metallurgical Composite Pipes in Deep-Sea Oil and Gas Transportation

Led by Ansteel and jointly developed with over ten institutions under an MIIT project, this product combines X65 pipeline steel with N06625 nickel-based alloy through rolling composite technology. It integrates the high strength and toughness of the base layer with the superior corrosion resistance of the cladding layer. Certified by authoritative testing bodies, the product meets performance standards and holds EPD environmental certification. Employing vacuum billet assembly and rolling composite processes, it eliminates thick plate billet preparation steps. Formed into large-diameter pipes via JCO (Jigged Cold-Formed) technology, it fills a domestic technological gap, providing critical assurance for the safe and efficient transportation of China's deep-sea oil and gas resources.
