The re-crystallization temperature of cold heading steel is 760°C. Either compound is in a crystalline configuration and this crystallization will vary with temperature. Cold heading steel begins to recrystallize when the temperature reaches around 760°C and the crystals become coarse. The cold heading process can save raw materials and reduce costs. And it can improve the tensile strength of the work-piece and it also can improve performance by cold hardening.
