The difference between galvanized sheets and galvanized sheets mainly lies in the coating. A layer of zinc material is evenly distributed on the surface of the galvanized sheet, which protects the raw materials.
The surface coating of the galvalume plate is composed of 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and a small amount of other elements. At a microscopic level, the surface of the galvanized coating has a honeycomb structure, and the "honeycomb" composed of aluminum contains zinc. In this case, although the galvalume coating also plays a protective role, the protective effect is greatly reduced due to the reduction of zinc content and the difficulty of electrolyzing aluminum. So if the galvanized sheet is cut, the cut edges will soon rust. Therefore, anti-rust paint or zinc-rich paint should be used to protect the edges after cutting galvanized sheets, to extend the service life of the sheets.
