8k is actually a standard for the surface treatment of stainless steel. After polishing, stainless steel achieves a mirror-like finish, reflecting both objects and people. This is called 8k mirror.

Taking 304 stainless steel plate as an example, its "8" value is the nickel content; and "K" refers to the level of reflectivity that can be achieved after the stainless steel plate is polished (K grade is the level of mirror reflection), so 8K mirror plate is the mirror grade reflected by chromium-nickel alloy.
