However, Hot rolled steel plate & coil refers to a continuous coil of hot rolled steel that is cut into individual plates. It is produced in a coil form, which is subsequently cut into plates of desired lengths. Hot rolled steel plates are produced by hot rolling a steel slab or billet at high temperatures. The resulting plates are straight and have uniform thickness. Hot rolled steel plate & coil is produced in a similar manner to hot rolled steel plates. However, instead of cutting the coil into individual plates immediately, the coil is typically stored and then processed to cut plates as per customer requirements.
