Q:What are the differences between galvalume steel sheet and galvanized steel plate?

A

The differences between them are mainly in two aspects. On the one hand, the two mean different things. Aluminized steel plate is a steel plate with a layer of pure aluminium or an aluminium-silicon alloy containing 5% to 10% silicon on the surface of carbon steel. Whereas an galvalume steel sheet is a steel plate with an aluminium-zinc alloy overlay treatment on the surface of the plate, consisting of 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon solidified at a high temperature of 600°C. It is therefore an alloy coated steel sheet with a dense quadruple crystalline structure formed by the elements aluminium-iron-silicon-zinc. On the other hand, the characteristics are different. Aluminised steel plates have unique properties such as good corrosion resistance, heat resistance and thermal radiation. The galvalume steel sheet has a number of excellent characteristics: corrosion resistance, heat resistance, heat reflection and economy.
