On March 9, good news came from the Steckel Coil Unit of the Second Refining and Rolling Operation Department of Anyang Base. The 4.0×2500mm ultra-thin plate was successfully rolled for the first time and smoothly off the production line! It is another breakthrough achieved by this unit since the successful rolling of the 4.5×2500mm ultra-thin plate! It shows that the operation department has mastered the high-precision control technology of the entire thin-gauge process and ushered in a milestone leap in production level.

To continuously improve product efficiency, the Secondary Refining and Rolling Operations Department actively responded to the arrangements and deployment of the company, clearly defined the research goals, and went all out to win the battle of ultra-thin gauge production. To break the design barriers and ensure the success of the first trial rolling, the operation department established a "fragile gauge rolling research team" composed of equipment, production, technology, and other related professionals. Combining the previous production technology experience and focusing on the technical difficulties of extreme thin gauge rolling, multiple special meetings were held to study processes, equipment, operations, models, etc., and determine specific rolling plans. In the end, the smooth rolling of ultra-thin specifications was achieved with the joint efforts of various processes and professional staff. After testing, the size, plate shape, and surface quality of the 4.0×2500mm product fully met the industry standard requirements.
