Sansteel Develops Q355NH Weathering Steel Plate

Recently, Sansteel Group successfully developed Q355NH weathering steel plate, further enriching its plate product structure and improving its competitiveness in the medium and thick plate market.
Weathering steel plate is a low-alloy, high-strength structural steel between ordinary and stainless steel. It has the characteristics of high toughness, strong corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, fatigue resistance, and good machining and mechanical properties. It is not prone to cracks and deformation during the processing process. It can withstand complex working conditions such as heavy loads and impacts, and can resist a variety of corrosive media. It is mainly used in the construction field, bridge engineering, vehicle manufacturing, etc.
In order to successfully develop the weathering steel plate, Sansteel's plate division and technical center jointly established a research and development team, carefully formulated the "first production trial plan for weathering steel plates", strictly controlled the key process technologies of heating, rolling, cooling, shearing, and finishing production lines, and required operators to monitor and control the process parameters at each process quality control point, strictly follow the procedures to ensure a smooth rolling process. The successful development of Q355NH weathering steel plate effectively filled the important gap in Sansteel's weathering steel plate field and further met the diverse needs of customers.
