Pangang Developed the First Cold-Rolled Precision Stamping Steel

Recently, the research Institute and Pangang Vanadium jointly completed the first full-process industrial test of 50Mn and 65Mn cold-rolled precision stamping steel. The product surface quality is good and the mechanical properties meet user requirements.
Fine blanking steel is a kind of cold-rolled medium-high carbon steel with special uses. It has low production cost, good plasticity, high strength, and good spheroidized structure. It is widely used in important automotive structural parts such as car door locks, bearings, chains, and brake pads, as well as hardware such as chain saws, garden tools, scissors, etc.
Fine blanking steel has high hardenability and is prone to problems such as cracks and segregation in the casting during production. It is difficult to roll and difficult to control the plate shape. Based on early laboratory research, the project team carried out special research on the material properties of fine blanking steel, such as the high-temperature plasticity of slabs, plate shape control, and microstructure regulation. It opened up the full production technology process of 50Mn and 65Mn cold-rolled fine blanking steel. The actual product quality is comparable to that of domestic advanced enterprises.
The successful completion of the industrial test of cold-rolled fine-blanking steel indicates that Pangang has successfully developed cold-rolled fine-blanking steel, enriched Pangang's cold-rolled variety structure, and contributed to the brand building of Pangang's cold-rolled high-strength steel.
