Recently, the delivery ceremony of the large-scale wind power installation platform "Hengtong Haiyue" was held in Nantong. In this eye-catching project, the 177.8mm extra-thick rack steel was all supplied by Xiangtan Steel. Xiangtan Steel once again demonstrated its outstanding strength in major projects.
The large wind power installation platform "Hengtong Haiyue" is equipped with a 1,600-ton pile-circling full-rotation super-strong crane. It is the leading fourth-generation self-propelled, self-elevating deep-sea large wind power installation platform in China. Extra-thick rack steel is mainly used in key structures such as wind power installation ships and self-elevating offshore platform pile legs. It has the characteristics of high weldability, high density, high strength, and toughness. Xianggang has overcome the difficulty of producing extra-thick rack steel by continuously optimizing the technical parameters of key links such as smelting and rolling.
In recent years, Xianggang has insisted on technological innovation and promoted the adjustment of product structure to the high end of the value chain. After completing the mass production and delivery of 177.8mm extra-thick rack steel, it has developed extra-thick and extra-heavy rack steel plates with a maximum thickness of 210mm and a maximum unit weight of 33 tons and has obtained certification from classification societies of 6 countries, which is currently the largest thickness certified in China.
